# Installing blackbaud-sdk (for coding agents)

1. `curl -fsSL https://blackbaud.myronlai.com/install.sh | sh` installs uv if missing, the `blackbaud` CLI, the `blackbaud-ui` web app (serves http://127.0.0.1:8110), and Chromium for Google sign-in. macOS only.
2. Check: `blackbaud --help` prints the command list. If it is not found, run `uv tool update-shell` and open a new shell.
3. MCP: add this server to your MCP config (`blackbaud` must be on PATH):

4. Skill: `curl -fsSL https://blackbaud.myronlai.com/skill.tar.gz | tar xz -C <skills dir>` creates `<skills dir>/blackbaud/SKILL.md` (Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills`).
5. Do not run `blackbaud setup` yourself: it asks for sign-in choices and a password. Tell the user to run `blackbaud setup` in their own terminal.
